it seems unlikely, yet for Anna and Vlad, and a host of undead and living cohorts, it appears to be true that Marie Antoinette as a vampire would be more than a little insane and power hungry- not surprising given her Austrian and French human life histories. That Anna would manage to really tick her off by killing her serial killing lover in self defense- fairly typical Anna, really. Convoluted connections between allies and foes, and fates that might well be worse than death for some, at the instigation of a vampire queen willing to kidnap or burn out her own people- dramatic and oddly moving a moving mix of humor and super human insights and reflections I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
