Ratings and reviews

It looked mesmerizing just because the level of glitz that the writer tried to describe. Underneath that, the plot is not that good. Some scenes felt meh, over, or just there to shove more gold--which is tiring (i'm talking about the exorcism in the Tais' household). Quite enjoyable, but there are moments when i just flip the pages impatiently. Still, I finish the book yet raised both eyebrows at the ending. Umm that's it? Like someone is too lazy to think of a good ending scene. Ok bye. Just hoping it's not an attempt at book second, third, etc.

Wow, what a fun read. Don't know how much of the culture of rich Asians are true. Asian jet setters and super lavish weddings will be beyond my wildest dreams, but I can definitely relate to some of the crazy Asian parental projections of what they want their children to be/portray.

Lack of substance, plot was too thin. The movie had added much 'value' that completed this book. All good romantic fictions always build on a baseline, this book only offers nothing more but brand names. The characters seem superficial, extremely shallow and to a point boring. Go see the movie, skip the book.
