About this ebook

Collects PRETTY DEADLY #1-5 SPECIAL LOW INTRODUCTORY PRICE! KELLY SUE DeCONNICK (Avengers Assemble, Captain Marvel) and EMMA RIOS (Dr. Strange, Osborn) present the collected opening arc of their surprise-hit series that marries the magical realism of Sandman with the western brutality of Preacher. Death's daughter rides the wind on a horse made of smoke and her face bears the skull marks of her father. Her origin story is a tale of retribution as beautifully lush as it is unflinchingly savage.

I really wanted to like this book. The art is beautiful and kept my interest throughout. Unfortunately the story is needlessly complicated and convoluted. The story is bogged down by characters that take to long to say absolutely nothing. Combine that with over the top confusion regarding fight sequences and your left unsatisfied and irritated. Again I really did want to like this book, it just didn't work out that way.

I was recommended this comic series and I'm so very thankful I took a chance and bought it! I couldn't stop reading! It's so dark and beautiful and sad, it just really drew me in.

Mystical, twisting story in a western sky that's so big that it includes the underworld. Characters are wrapped in symbolism and displayed in beautiful color and motion.
