This book fills a void in the comic-book world. That is a sci-fi/time travel action adventure. Un fortunately it's also an orgin story and they are not my favorite. This one does better than most because it uses the time travel aspects to tell the orgin of Captaon Marvel and doesn't dwell on her life before the change. An interesting mechanic that works well but the story is a little too hetic and the castof players a little too largeflr me to really enjoy this book. The artwork also didn't catch my fancy. The renderings are oil painting qualiry butare muted and dark. Still this is a good book that is well written and brilliantly imagined and worth the journey.

Seriously great work here. Yes, this was an origin story, but wow its a good one! Can't wait to share this with my friends and family.
