I didn't feel like anything new was added to the story. Macon's mother sounded interesting but we didn't get to know any connections to previous characters or anything really. It was neat to imagine Ethan's mother as a college student once again and imagine her in the stacks and being friends with Marion but again something was lacking.

Oh come on, this tells us almost nothing new. We already saw more than half of these senes from Beautiful Darkness. You would only need to read this book if you hadn't read that one. And if you hadn't read that one, than you should because it's in the middle of the series.

I love this series. My daughter says I'm too old to read this, because orcs below my lexile range, but it's about the story, not the complication of it. The whole series, thus far, is wonderful. I just wish I had these in print versus in ebook format.
