A little too melodramatic for me. I think I would like it better if I started with another book in this series, but these characters always seemed to be grieving, angry or apologetic. It was a little too much heaviness for starting a new series. I don't know the characters and given the amount of tragedy the author kept alluding too but never really recalling or detailing out I couldn't identify with them. I like this author but if you aren't familiar with this series, I would give this book a pass.

First let me say this is the third book in the series and i for one have not read books 1 or 2. I do plan to read them and re-read this book again. That being said I really liked this book. Not having read the other books I did not feel left out. The Author, Justine Davis made sure that we knew enough to keep the story moving and us informed. This book starts off in a hospital waiting room. Then it moves to a case of mistaken identity. Well, Zee made a mistake and boy was she happy when she discovered her mistake was wrong. The man she loved and allowed to leave her life to follow his dream was home. But for how long and why. This is a second chance romance that keep me glued to the pages from the start to the end. And like I said earlier it is one i plan to re-read after reading the other books in this series as well.

Excellent book! This is a second chance story that will make you swoon and warm your heart. High school sweethearts, Zee Mahan and Jamie Templeton, are reunited when Jamie returns to Whiskey River. They always knew he would leave. He had that something special and Zee knew he would be a star. What she didn't know was how long it would take him to come home. Now he's back but he doesn't have that same confidence he once had. Can she and will she help him get it back? Can her heart handle him leaving again? These were great characters and their's is a story you don't want to miss. I recommend it.
