If it didn't have Julie Garwood's name on the cover, I never would have thought it was hers. It wasn't written in her voice, and the characters were missing depth. I will reread the book. Maybe I will find something I missed on the first reading. I love her books so I hope so!! Rest in peace 🙏. 💞 you will be missed 😢!!! I've reread this book and liked it a little more than the last 2 times. No matter what, I'll always be glad I have this book. After all, it's a Julie Garwood story!! 😍

Not a usual Julie Garwood book. The only saving grace of it is it includes some members of the Buchanan family but not all are as they were. The ghost writer forgot that in "Slow Burn" Kate and Jordan are the best of friends.They didn't even have a conversation in this book.Kate's character seems to be uncaring.Isabel's seems to be fickle minded, stupid and gullible. Wouldn't include this in my JG collection. This ghost writer doesn't work for Julie. Seems like she didn't even read the previous book in the series. I still finished the book but only because I never leave any book unfinished. Unlike before, you didn't want the story to end and you're left wanting more. I was only half way through and I was already wishing for the story to be over.Very disappointing especially since I'm a huge Julie Garwood fan.

This doesn't feel like julie garwoods usual writing. I'm dissappointed just reading the sample and won't be purchasing the book. Her previous works were tremendous compared to this latest one.
