About this ebook

Combined for the first time in one volume are the first three books of the internationally bestselling FROSTBORN saga - FROSTBORN: THE GRAY KNIGHT, FROSTBORN: THE EIGHTFOLD KNIFE, FROSTBORN: THE UNDYING WIZARD, and the prequel novel FROSTBORN: THE FIRST QUEST.

RIDMARK ARBAN was once a Swordbearer, a knight of renown. Now he is a branded outcast, stripped of his sword, and despised as a traitor.

But he alone sees the danger to come, and undertakes the dangerous quest to stop the return of the Frostborn.

Simple, straightforward story with simple characters. The protagonist is amazing, awe inspiring, commands obedience, inspires all he meets and is completely boring. The author really wants you to know that this guy is a once in a hundred years hero. The supporting characters spend their time being saved by the hero or expounding on how amazing he is. It feels like someone took a fantasy novel formula and filled in the blanks. The characters could easily be renamed Robin Hood, Little John, Maid Marian and Friar Tuck. Still, I got it for $0.99 and if you are looking for a fluff piece for less than a dollar, this passes the time.

These books are the first in the dreadful Frostborn series. It starts out well, but the writing does not evolve at all over 11 books. What Moeller's has going for it in its somewhat interesting overarching plotline, it more than makes up for in repetitive writing (every book reminds us how the characters talk, how they walk, and how they fight, sometimes multiple times in the book) and unoriginal book subplots. Will not be reading any more of these books.

I have to say I have enjoyed this story thus far. A couple of spelling errors but you get the gist of it. Lead character is very likable, strong, brave, self deprecating... everything I like in a hero. Love the rest of the group and am enjoying their character development. The story is quite creative and new. Very enjoyable! Writing this review late since I just purchased book #6. I am in for the long haul.

About the author

Standing over six feet tall, Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair of a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.

He has written the DEMONSOULED series of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write THE GHOSTS sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the COMPUTER BEGINNER'S GUIDE series of computer books, and numerous other works.
