Jodi's writing got me emotionally involved from the first page. I kept wanting more. The story is great! I didn't expect the ending but thoroughly enjoyed reading it to the very end.

I'm a huge fan and often have wondered about character back stories. This was perfect and I'm looking forward to reading "Leaving Time" and seeing the bigger picture.

This book was like a visit to Africa. I felt the heat, saw the animals. I felt Alice's delights and griefs in her various relationships and situations. I will be reading the sequel
