SUPERMAN EARTH ONE (2010-2015) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Need a break from the complicated, wordy & complex Hickman's Avengers run 🤣🤣, so i decide to picked up these stand alone Superman series books that goes dusty on my shelves. Wow! Never thought i would like these books (im a big fan of Supes anyway). I love it! Classic artwork that works! (i usually hate vintage style of drawing). Vol. 1 & 2 by Shane Davis & Adrian Syaf on Vol. 3. Similar style but Adrian's look more on modern style. Written by J. Michael Strazynski (Thor 2007) Action packed with Kal-El being in his early 20's adjusting with his new life outside of Smallville. EARTH ONE series by DC is a reimagined story of their Superheroes that does not related to the main timeline. I pick Vol. 3 as the best! Superman Vs. Zod! Vol. 1 is second best and Vol. 2 is the weakest. Not that I don't enjoyed it. It's a really good stories combined. Nice cover art though! Beautiful for my collection! Love all these three! Rating : 9/10

Not growing up to American comic books had me rely on the DC Animated Universe on what to think of any DC hero (Superman, Batman, etc). This comic blows my mind for, what I think, is one of those great origin stories, for a very world renowned character beloved by many and disliked by the few. A not too different spin, but different enough to keep me hooked and interested. I'd definitely read this again just for the story.

I think this series, "Superman: Earth One," has been a worthy retelling of the legendary hero's introduction & early battles... We've gotten some great battles & super powered action - contrasted with the humanity of Clark's upbringing - and a look at some of the personal struggles that an alien would face, i.e. Ultimately being isolated by the same things that make him so incredibly powerful... There's no super power that can overcome the reality that he's alone in this world.

J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI is a writer and television producer who has worked in a variety of media, including comics, novels, TV, film, and radio dramas. He is perhaps most known as the creator and showrunner of the Babylon 5 TV series, and its spin-off Crusade. He was also the creator of Jeremiah for Showtime. Straczynski has written numerous film scripts, including Changeling starring Angelina Jolie, which was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Original0 Screenplay. His comics work includes Rising Stars for Top Cow/Image, The Amazing Spider-Man, Supreme Power and Thor for Marvel, and SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN and the SUPERMAN: EARTH ONE graphic novel for DC Comics.
