Jack and Mackenna meet on a ferry. He opened a door and she collided withbit getting a black eye from it. Something to talk and laugh about in years to come...if they were to be a couple. They share negative thoughts and feelings about relationships and children, but for different reasons. Their experiences have each left a mark, but if they are prepared to bend a little, they will be able to have what they each want..more than a benefits arrangement and become a loving couple. Great Location for Romance! Loved the Alaskan setting of this Fireweed Harbor Series love story between McKenna and Jack. All the family and friends added to the richness of the storyline and supported the main characters just enough to work through their issues and have their HEA. The author even provides a nice introduction of the next book in the series. Definitely recommending for your reading pleasure. PEACE. Jack & McKenna’s story had me hooked from the first page! Their first meeting, was not your typical meet cute. Jack accidently gives McKenna a black eye! They both always have been dedicated to their jobs, but after their literal run in they can't get each other out of their heads. I love how their sweet and steamy story builds slowly, and how they learn to open up and trust each other. So good! I received this ARC from Bad Boy Updates.
