About this ebook

The clock is ticking in the struggle for galactic independence

Once rebels themselves facing off against the Earth Confederation, the United States of North America is now the dominant force in negotiations with the interstellar Sh'daar Collective. But just as the Marines root out the last violent dissenters, an alien ship of unknown origin suddenly flees Earth's orbit. Is it mere coincidence . . . or a terrifying omen?

President Alexander Koenig watches with great interest as USNA forces chase the runaways down. But upon first contact, it's not apparent where—or when—the crew is headed. For this bizarre species has somehow mastered the power to manipulate time itself. Now Koenig must decide whether he's dealing with angels of astonishing technological prowess . . . or the agents of humanity's destruction.

Enjoyed the plot line but found myself skipping passages due to often repeated history from the previous books. Great to see where the story goes, but many books I would recommend to friends before this one.

Great book but I feel cheated. A good third of the book is repetitive explanations told time and time again in previous books. Also, for the first time in the series, chunks of story are left out.

The story is excellent. I'm enthralled and addicted to the action, technology and intrigue. What I am less enthusiastic about is the excessive repetition of history. Once, maybe twice per book is fine, but the several replays of what has already happened is getting excessive enough that I actually found myself tossing aside my Nexus7 in frustration. It almost feels as if its simply word count pumping to increase the size of the book. But I look forward to the next chapters in this saga anyways.
