I don't know if this author is serious or not. America's not multi racial? Racism is the econimic problem of America? America is multi racial. We are higher then the world average on the lingustic rating, religious as well as genetics. (Fyi. We are a .44 denmark sweden and finland average .08 with .13 being the highest. Personally I wonder why certain people inspire to be like those countries.) Secondly racism is a factor EVERYWHERE for EVERYONE. If you think its an american only problem and that its so systemically bad it affects our country. Im afraid for you. Please do your own research on the world. In china there is still segregation with signs saying no blacks. Pick any country though and I guarntee you do the research and you'll appreciate this wonderful nation we live in. Rememeber as well, even the best struggle at times.

About the author
Heather McGhee is an expert in economic and social policy. The former president of the inequality-focused think tank Demos, McGhee has drafted legislation, testified before Congress, and contributed regularly to news shows including NBC’s Meet the Press. She now chairs the board of Color of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization. McGhee holds a BA in American studies from Yale University and a JD from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
