About this ebook

The prophecy of despair continues...
When an unprecedented calamity on the twenty-seventh floor leaves Bell and Lyu stranded, Bell's party needs to keep fighting without him. With their route to the surface lost and Hestia Familia's captain missing in action, Lilly must take command to ensure they all make it home alive. Ten floors below, Bell and Lyu are injured and alone, forced to struggle against the harshest challenge the Dungeon has to offer, which puts their very lives on the line. Bell has never been this deep down before nor completely unprepared, meaning Lyu's knowledge and strength are essential to their survival. However, the forlorn elf finds herself standing on the border between life and death, bound by her past, remembering once again exactly how her devotion to justice died so many years ago...

Geez. This was a couple of nightmares. Wont go into details because you ain't getting spoilers from me lol I'll just say that I cant wait to see how much excella Bell and co. got from this adventure. Besides the usual monsters on both the 27th and 37th floor, there was the enhanced species, the Lambton, the Amphisbaena, the Collisseum, the Chimera Juggernaut...hoo boy.

Omori concludes the Hestia Familia Expedition story in a satisfying and beautiful way. The two parties from the previous volume struggle and develop in situations full of intensity and nothing feels convenient or unearned. The fights are exhilarating and the Dungeon is further explored and expanded upon with the deep levels. Lyu's arc is handled with care and resolves masterfully in one of the most emotional scenes in the series. This volume was delayed numerous times from its initial release date by Yen Press, but it truly was worth the wait in what was personally my favorite installment of the series to date.
