As a teen reader, I like to think of Warriors as an epic story with the vastness nearing that of Game of Thrones and the expression of emotion found in The Walking Dead. Having read the New Prophecy series, Power of Three, and Omen of the Stars, I was a bit discouraged when it was announced that the next series would be a prequel. But after reading the first chapter, I was hooked. This book embodies the themes that truly make the Warriors series great (heartache, broken trust, brotherhood, obligations).

This is much different than the other Warriors books. If you wanted to see what it was like after Firestar died, prepare to be disappointed. In this book, you get to see that group, the one "Jaywing" was in. It is a good book, but considering everyone was waiting to see what it was like AFTER the last hope, I had to take down a star. I did like the perspective though. The POV is from Graywing too. Not that you know who it is, but I wanted to add that in anyway.

Overall This Whole Series Is Great But After GrayWing And TurtleTail Finally Get A Chane To Be Together In Love TurtleTail Dies. One Thing I Really Didn't Like About These Books Is Tom And Slate, Take Them Out And This Series Of Books Would Be Everything.
