About this ebook

Discover the origins of the warrior Clans in the second book of this thrilling prequel arc from mega-bestselling author Erin Hunter. The Dawn of the Clans series takes readers back to the earliest days of the Clans, when the cats first settled in the forest and began to forge the Warrior code.

The mountain cats from the Tribe of Rushing Water followed the Sun Trail to a new territory, convinced that in a land with more prey, their lives would be free from strife. But while no cat has gone hungry, tensions are rising. The once firmly united group has split in two—and a young cat named Thunder is caught in the middle.

Dawn of the Clans #2: Thunder Rising also contains an exclusive bonus scene and a teaser to Dawn of the Clans #3: The First Battle.

I'm usually okay with Warriors books- but what a horrific representation of domestic abuse in this book, written for kids and young adults. Near the beginning of the book, a cat experiencing domestic abuse has her experiences undermined, dismissed, and all because she's "fat" (which the book has to mention about 40 times by the way). This cat later dies horribly, and her domestic abuser gets a "heroic death" a couple books later. Absolutely disgusting. There's no way an actual human wrote this and thought it was a good message to be sending to the audience- that it's okay to shame and dismiss a victim of domestic abuse as long as they're "fat and lazy." It's up there with Spottedleaf's Heart as a cruel and insensitive representation of a very serious issue.

For people who have not read it yet (recommended): This book is really good, it keeps you reading and once you get into it you never put the book down. It has a lot of action, and fighting. So I highly recommend this book, but read the first book of Dawn Of The Clans before you read this one or your missing out. Peace ✌ FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT SPOILERS: Omg, where do I start? This book is stunning, Turtle Tail comes back?! I did not expect her to come back at all, I like how later in the book GrayWing becomes her mate, they are literally so fit for each other, and she has kits, which is great, I really got interested when Pebble Heart had told GrayWing his knowledge on herbs and how he had figured them out, and has visions, I wonder if he will be a med cat in the future. I felt terrible for Thunder while reading this book, his father is really disappointing, becoming an ambitious cat. So yeah this is as far as this review gets so again (If you also read this part) Peace ✌

I can't wait to read this warriors is my all time fav series. I do think that it would be interesting to see how bramblestar and the other clans deal with all the lost warriors and traitors that were training in the dark forest though.
