A nice collection of short stories. Not all authors can do a good job at writing short stories. I think it's more difficult to fit enough into so few words and still have something enjoyable to read. I thought this collection was great. Some of the stories were action packed and at least one of them brought tears to my eyes (Spirit of a Tiger). I thought that at least one of these stories would be something I'd already read but I was wrong. I'm not sure how I missed the anthologies that they were originally published in but I'm glad I got the chance to read them now. An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

These are extremely short stories, so if you need something to take you away and only have a little time this is the book for you. They all have a hunky alpha and strong women, yes! There are a variety of backgrounds which is also a win, giving you a little glimpse of elsewhere. Some are mostly the physical relationship but when we learn about the couples its a plus. The steamy lovers will enjoy most of the book for that alone. The plot .lovers will really enjoy 2 of the stories but still enjoy the whole book. Thank you for the arc. About the author

Elle James was born in Spokane, Washington on Fairchild Air Force Base. She grew up as a military brat moving around quite often from places like Glasgow, Montana, Abilene, Texas and California. She credits her aspiration to her writing partner and sister, Delilah Devlin. She writes the series Dark Lords, Devil's Shroud, amd Covert Cowboys Inc.
