About this ebook

This is the story of Paul, a sophomore at a high school like no other: The cheerleaders ride Harleys, the homecoming queen used to be a guy named Daryl (she now prefers Infinite Darlene and is also the star quarterback), and the gay-straight alliance was formed to help the straight kids learn how to dance.

When Paul meets Noah, he thinks he’s found the one his heart is made for. Until he blows it. The school bookie says the odds are 12-to-1 against him getting Noah back, but Paul’s not giving up without playing his love really loud. His best friend Joni might be drifting away, his other best friend Tony might be dealing with ultra-religious parents, and his ex-boyfriend Kyle might not be going away anytime soon, but sometimes everything needs to fall apart before it can really fit together right.

This is a happy-meaningful romantic comedy about finding love, losing love, and doing what it takes to get love back in a crazy-wonderful world.

The story is moving, the characters are real, and the struggle is emotionally epic. But the big flaw in this one is believabity. The main character came out of the closet in kindergarten, the school setting has more LGBT students than not, and and going ons of everyone (outside of calls and emails like normal students) accumulate to the point where the suspension of disbelief is nearly impossible.

This is more of a read for teens than adults I think. It’s about the drama of the high school years. It’s very open with sexual orientation so no matter where someone falls in the hetero or QUILTBAG spectrum (so basically everyone alive), there is something to relate to. *SPOILER* For me, the best part was when they all show up together to pick the one boy up for a date. That was a magic moment, and the rest of the story after that as well.

I just love this book. I can honestly say this is one of the best gay love stories ive ever read. I grew up in a town similar to what Paul grew up in, so I really enjoyed this book and the story line. I wish there was more books like this, I would love to read one like this in the adult life,, and have the same type of outline and characteristics as this book has,, I just can not say enough that this book will always be close to my heart and mean allot to me.
