Spoiler alert!!!! Well, i like this series as much as the next fan, but i really really like haern, the watcher, and i feel connected to him more than this series protagonists, probably bcuz i read shadowdance first or perhaps a shadowy killing machine with his cloak dance is just that awsome, so knowing that he died is more than enough reason to give this review one less star, childish maybe. But haern is a steel amid chaos of magic thats why i expect more when he battled melorak.. still , a great book

Guess I'm not the only one who can't get over his death. He and the scoutmaster could've just fled, retreat, the city was lost. Regardless, in the end he could finally be with Del, one thing we can be happy about.
