Ratings and reviews

I don't normally like 3rd person narrative and generally don't read past the first page but this book was the exception. The frequent switch of characters and the descriptive storytelling allowed me envision the story in my own mind. I would say this is aimed at a young adult/ teen audience but without the "twilightesque" romanace in fact it was nice to read a book that was not bogged down with a stupid predictable "love" story. I would definitely recommend this book and have high expectations for part two

Very different take on the humans fight against dragons theme with the dragons being both human and dragon. This was my first Daniel Arenson novel but certainly won't be my last, I couldn't put it down and look forward to hearing how the Vir requis deal with the next bigger threat to their existence and will Gloriae accept her heritage and realise what she has unleashed against the last of her kind! Can't wait, M Hayne

I've tried and suffered my way through a few of this guy's books now. Stay away! They're all the same. If you enjoy insane amounts of gleeful carnage, unrealistic and shallow characters, banal dialogue, and tediously long novels, these are for you. Otherwise, steer well clear!
