Ratings and reviews

Very funny, but way too short. There are some truly great anecdotes here, but just not enough of them. There are just too many pages of short, one or two line quotes, and not enough actual stories. Funny as hell though. If you are looking for something to amuse yourself for an hour or two some day, grab this up. But I wouldn't pay more than a buck or two for it, there just isn't enough meat there. The eBook was formatted fine with no obvious spelling or grammatical errors.

The stories in this book were not very exciting to me, after 20 years in the Navy. I worked with Army and Marines during that time. I have heard and experienced much more exciting tales than these.

As a vet, I related to a lot that was said. Style of the book is similar to "Shit My Dad Says", just wish it was longer. Read the entire thing in about 2-3 hours.

Dan Caddy is a former marketing professional and veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is the founder of the Awesome Sh*t My Drill Sergeant Said Facebook page. The Facebook page now has more than ten individuals on staff, including many current and former drill sergeants. Dan is the president and founder of Battle in Distress Inc., a nonprofit devoted to helping service members in crisis. He lives in Vermont and continues to serve in the military.
