I received this book as an ARC for my honest review. The crimes in this book are revolving around child sex rings so may be a trigger for some readers. Simon and Kate are reluctant to have anything to do with each other but work together to solve pedophile sex ring cases that are linked and go back many years. This takes place in Vancouver, which I live within 30 minutes of. It was nice to know about the places that were being mentioned. Very well written storyline with amazing characters. There were some twists there that I was not expecting. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

The author has once again drawn the readers in with a good beginning Kate is someone you applaud, she maybe cranky yet gets results Given ARC for my voluntary review and and my honest opinion

I had high hopes for this new series and boy, oh boy did they pay off!! This book delivers the perfect inaugural outing for Kate and Simon. These characters are multilayered and intriguing. The storyline is smartly written and skillfully draws you into its complex web of nerve-wracking intensity, taut drama, spinetingling suspense, raw emotions, stunning twists and keep you guessing mystery. Add to this an enticing aura of attraction, a low simmering but very noticeable chemistry and the seed for a deliciously tempting romance and I was all in! I can not wait for book two!! I am electing to post an objective review.
