There's nothing like knowing that if you fall in love and have the first real kiss that the world you know of will start to crumble. No pressure. There was nothing ordinary about this retelling. There was nothing about this story that said it was once a bed time story. There was so much here to enjoy, laugh at, and almost want to enroll in high school again. At least this particular high school. This was more than I was expecting but on point for having me wanting more of the world of the Magicorum. The cat made me feel like we may be getting a little Alice in Wonderland retelling somewhere down the line. I am all on board no matter what direction that Christina choose to go. I love reading her worlds of fictional fantasy and paranormal reality.

A wonderfully innovative and elegantly brilliant novel featuring endearing characters that perfectly evokes the essence of the original work while remaining distinctive in its own right!
