About this ebook

The national bestseller and direct tie-in to the new game expansion pack Warlords of Draenor—a thrilling novel set in the universe of the record-breaking, internationally bestselling video game World of Warcraft!

The brutal siege of Orgrimmar is over. Alliance and Horde forces have stripped Garrosh Hellscream, one of the most reviled figures on Azeroth, of his title as warchief. His thirst for conquest devastated cities, nearly tore the Horde apart, and destroyed countless lives.

Now, on the legendary continent of Pandaria, he will stand trial for his transgressions. Renowned leaders from across the world have gathered to witness this historic event. As the trial unfolds, agents of the bronze dragonflight present shocking visions of Garrosh’s atrocities. For many of those in attendance, these glimpses into history force them to relive painful memories and even question their own innocence or guilt. For others, the chilling details stoke the flames of their hatred.

Unbeknownst to anyone, shadowy forces are at work on Azeroth, threatening not only the court’s ability to mete out justice…but also the lives of everyone at the trial.

The wow books are always excellent and add so much to the story that is left out in-game. I have really enjoyed the Christie Golden books in the past and this one was no different, I couldn't put it down. I do kind of wish the story had gone just a bit further into the events leading to Warlords. The trial events at times also got just a bit repetitive. I might give it 4.5 stars for that if I could but it's close enough for 5. If you are a fan of wow you will thank yourself for reading it. In fact I feel sorry for wow players that don't read these books and miss out on the real story of the game. I've been on a break from wow while waiting for the expansion and it definitely makes me feel like jumping back in. I'm going to go back now and catch-up on some of the others that I haven't read yet.

I had some fears about another out of game story being told, but my fears were abated when I read that Christie was the author. After reading Arthas and her other books, I knew she could deliver an epic journey, even though most of it resides inside a courtroom. Be assured, this is not your typical CSI, courtroom drama piece. It travels much deeper and into so much more detail, both past, present, and future, that even though the whole tale is yet to be told, the reader is left with a sense of closure.

I enjoyed almost all of it thoroughly, excluding parts with Anduin, who I've never personally had any interest in. Despite this, I grew to respect his decision to confront Garrosh (shown in the lions landing/ domination point questline ending), after more information on his thought process was revealed in the book. A must read for anyone who is interested in WoW lore!
