She indicated her cloak, which had blown about with the wind he had sent to bear her to shore. “You can control the winds as a shaman. But the winds of war are blowing, and if we do not stop Garrosh now, many innocents will pay the price for our hesitation.”

It was slightly slow in the beginning, but it set the story up for a very gut-wrenching twist towards the conclusion. Although I already knew a little bit about what was supposed to happen, I was still totally surprised and awe-struck with the execution. I'm not a reader, but this book actually had me excited while reading! Few books can do that for me.

Christie Golden has an uncanny way of making every character, every situation, every nuanced subtlety very real, and makes Azeroth come to life like I never expected. Jaina is real, believable, vulnerable, and as brilliantly complicated as any woman. Her relationships and feelings are convincing, heartwarming, and sometimes chilling. I would love to see more to come from Golden, and heck, I'd love to see her writing for the the game too.

This book sounds like a culmination of what a lot of people who take interest in the lore of world of Warcraft have been expecting since cata came out. If Christie Golden is behind the helm of this book, I'm sure it will be the story we've all been waiting to see unfold !
