Carrie Fisher's brain works in wonderful ways. (Carrie, if you see this, I know what you're thinking but I mean it. :) ) She's got a lot of stories to tell of her unusual life and experiences, all told with self deprecating humor. I laughed out loud several times. I highly recommend this story of a tough, smart, witty woman who can laugh, and make you laugh, at what life has handed her. Carrie, keep fighting the good fight, and know that others fight with you!

This was my first Carrie Fisher book and I really enjoyed it. So much so I already got Wishful Drinking to read. Always fascinated by a life I would never remotely live. This sure is one. However, I enjoy her humor in rather tragic, sad situations as well as being informative. I highly recommend this book if you are also interested in the same things I am (above).

The chapter on Michael Jackson is extremely interesting. Read it twice. The comments she made about the dentist (Evan Chandler) who accused Michael of sexual abuse on his son are especially important. This man was mentally ill, greedy and morally corrupt. He warned the world (on a tape) that if he didn't get what he wanted from Michael (money) he would make the allegations. Michael refused and the allegations were made. EXTORTION. In my opinion this is the most relevant chapter in the book considering that so many people still believe Michael Jackson hurt children. Trust me on this -- Michael Jackson never hurt any child. Just the opposite. His legacy depends on the truth being out there.

Carrie Fisher (1956–2016) became a cultural icon as Princess Leia in the first Star Wars trilogy. She starred in countless films, including Shampoo and When Harry Met Sally.
