A very nicely written memoir by Bryan Cranston. I read this book because Breaking Bad is my favorite T.V. series, alongside Deadwood. I have watched Cranston as a teen in Loving and then as an adult in BB. I am very glad he became an actor since he would have made an awful cop. The book sites his memory, that 459 is murder, when in fact it is the penal code section and radio call sign for burglary. Someone needs to change the text to reflect murder is 187 p.c. or delete this sentence from the text.

For being honest and real. Taking us on a journey through your life, letting us get a glimpse of your work ethic and process as an actor. For memorable characters like Hal, Walt and LBJ.

Cranston writes the way you expect him to, hes down to earth, honest, and teaches you alot about life. As as actor i found his chapters in the second half interesting, his process is an interesting one.

About the author

Bryan Cranston won four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Walter White in AMC’s Breaking Bad. He holds the honor of being the first actor in a cable series, and the second lead actor in the history of the Emmy Awards, to receive three consecutive wins. In 2014 he won a Tony Award for his role as Lyndon Johnson in the bio-play All the Way. In film, Cranston received an Academy Award nomination for his leading role in Trumbo. Among his numerous television and film appearances, he was nominated for a Golden Globe and three Emmys for his portrayal of Hal in FOX’s Malcolm in the Middle. He is the author of A Life in Parts.
