I loved Saga for about the first half of it's run so far, but honestly the longer it goes on the more the shine wears off, for me. The art is still gorgeous. The universe is still wonderfully bizarre. The characters are still fascinating. But the plot is just meandering, at this point, and it's leaning way too hard on the shock factor of killing off characters that you like in order to drive the dramatic tension. At a certain point, the authors are going to have work in some other themes besides "family is important" and "violence begets violence", because they've driven those into the ground. Having said all that, I will keep reading, in the hopes that the story gets more interesting again. Or at least to simply admire the art.

After dilly-dallying for a while, the writers of Saga have come around a full circle. Shocking violence, gratitious sex and a zany whacko plotline. I know Saga creators are going into some sabbatical post this volume. But jeez what a humdinger of a cliffhanger!
