About this ebook

At long last, a deluxe edition of the Eisner and Hugo Award-winning SAGA is finally here! Collecting the first 18 issues of the smash-hit series, this massive edition features a striking new cover, as well as special extras, including never-before-seen sketches, script pages, and a roundtable discussion with the creators about how SAGA is really made. Altogether, this deluxe edition contains over 500 pages! Written by Eisner Award-winning "Best Writer" BRIAN K. VAUGHAN (Y: The Last Man, The Private Eye) and drawn by Harvey Award-winning "Best Artist" Fiona Staples (Mystery Society, North 40), SAGA is the story of Hazel, a child born to star-crossed parents from opposite sides of a never-ending galactic war. Now, Hazel's fugitive family must risk everything to find a peaceful future in a harsh universe that values destruction over creation. Fantasy and science fiction are wed like never before in a sexy, subversive drama for adults that Entertainment Weekly called, "The kind of comic you get when truly talented superstar creators are given the freedom to produce their dream book."

This compilation contains volumes 1-3 and is "on sale" for $31. At the moment if I were to purchase each volume separately I can buy for a total of $21. Volume 4 costs $9. So I can get volumes 1-4 separately for less than I can pay for this compilation of volumes 1-3? Someone at Google needs to learn how to math.

Never have I ever experienced a story so full of characters whom I care so deeply about. Each of them full of a lifetime of wisdom, only to be slaughtered in the name of war, revenge and love. Though the story ultimately is an examination on what the opposite of war is. I find myself often relating to each character in their own right, and end up examining my own ideals, questioning how I got to those ideals in the first place. Through decades of passed down bi-product of our environment ways of thinking. The driving force in this story for me is the protagonist choice in finding family in odd places, often creating an even more tangled tapestry
