"Murder (and Baklava") was a twisty, fun cozy mystery, with plenty of red herrings along the way. I loved the glimpse into international cruise life as an employee. And the fascinating history of Europe was right up my alley, too. I highly recommend this series.

Very well written, but, the cause of death is extremely rare like 1 in a million, the dose of Prednisone would had to have been high for a long time! And Xanax would have had to have been used of all other meds. I looked it up!

I read quite a few books by Blake Pierce but none of them are so charming as Murder (and Baklava). The descriptions of Budapest and Gyor emphasizing their beautiful cathedrals and old buildings and sculptures leave the reader wanting to see more or read more about the places and - for sure - see some pictures. There´s also quite a bit of historic information, however, it´s laid out in an interesting and short way. The main character, London, is a woman who is caught up in accepting a more traditional way of life or going for her dreams (which she in fact ends up doing). She also manages to get a cute little dog who only lacks the capacity of talking! This line of writing, coming from Mr. Pierce is a positive and welcome surprise and I´m looking forward to the next books in the series.
