Pierce does a good job of really painting the picture of who Kate Wise is. Her investigation skills go beyond what others would have done and places you may not have seen coming. It does take a bit of time to build to the climax, but moves very quickly from that point forward. Literally could not stop turning the pages until the very last word. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the lack of quality editing. Several times throughout the book there were grammatical, syntax, and spelling errors.

its an excellent novel with a lot of suspense. I like all the novels of blake pierce. Her novels are are mainly based on crime . I liked the character of kate wise she as an retired agent investigated the case. this made this novel excellent as it would be no fun if she was an agent . I hope that I could read its book 2 for free
