About this ebook

A funny, honest novel about being out, being proud... and being ready for something else.

The award-winning novel about being out, being proud, and being ready for something else. Pre-order the companion novel Honestly Ben now (out 3/28/17)!Rafe is a normal teenager from Boulder, Colorado. He plays soccer. He's won skiing prizes. He likes to write. And, oh yeah, he's gay. He's been out since 8th grade, and he isn't teased, and he goes to other high schools and talks about tolerance and stuff. And while that's important, all Rafe really wants is to just be a regular guy. Not that GAY guy. To have it be a part of who he is, but not the headline, every single time.So when he transfers to an all-boys' boarding school in New England, he decides to keep his sexuality a secret -- not so much going back in the closet as starting over with a clean slate. But then he sees a classmate breaking down. He meets a teacher who challenges him to write his story. And most of all, he falls in love with Ben... who doesn't even know that love is possible.

A book for camp gay males and breeder woman and lovers of false stereotypes like if your gay your best friend will be a loud mouthed breeder female thats so wrong if your a camp gay male then it will be true because they are more female than male but strong gay males have male best friends! the other stereotypes are all jocks are dumb and intelligent people are geeks this book is frivolous and will be enjoyed by silly people only if you like your books a bit more intelligent and sensible DON'T BUY! I WILL AVOID THIS AUTHOR LIKE DOG TURD πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’© 5 dog turds for being complete trash

I loved this book. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because I wanted so much more. At the end of this book I truly thought that I had at least 100 more pages to read!

Not every day do you come across a book that holds so many truths and values for young adults. Rafe's tale is not only enjoyable, but forces you to stop and evaluate yourself as a human being. The writing is impeccable. The author never fails to excite, depress, or make the reader feel extremely awkward. It's as if your in Natick Boarding School alongside the students. One of the best books I've come across.
