River is such a sweet, standup guy, I couldn't help but feel sorry for everything he's been through. I like how he takes care of Tess as the secrets about her late husband slowly come out. This is a heart-wrenching story about two people who've been through a lot and finally get the happiness they deserve. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.
