About this ebook

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • “Vintage Anne Rice—a lushly written, gothic … metaphysical tale. This time, with werewolves.” —The Wall Street Journal

When Reuben Golding, a young reporter on assignment, arrives at a secluded mansion on a bluff high above the Pacific, it’s at the behest of the home’s enigmatic female owner. She quickly seduces him, but their idyllic night is shattered by violence when the man is inexplicably attacked—bitten—by a beast he cannot see in the rural darkness. It will set in motion a terrifying yet seductive transformation that will propel Reuben into a mysterious new world and raise profound questions. Why has he been given the wolf gift? What is its true naturegood or evil? And are there others out there like him?

I really wanted to enjoy this but each chapter became more painful to read then the last. I can't stand the main character or anyone else in his circle. His personality is so bland and tasteless that just leaves a nasty taste in the back of your mouth. Lastly I was utterly tired of reading how orgasmic it felt as he transformed into the man wolf.

Leave it to Anne Rice to delve into the myths of werewolves with a flair for human yet supernatural borders. The ManWolf of this book seeks to understand the true history behind his new alternate persona. His changes are more than physical. They are an adventure of rollercoasting questions & emotions that propells bothh the main character & happily engaged reader

I love her style every book shows magic in characters settings history this takes u into the frozen wilderness of the tundra And brings you into the mythology of the people + the ancient wolves and leaves u wondering what is real and what is fiction. As she is wont to do in every book. When i e each tale i am left wishing it was reality and missing each character as if i lost friends.
