About this ebook

The hypnotic, deeply seductive novels of Anne Rice have captivated millions of fans around the world. It all began a quarter of a century ago with Interview with the Vampire. Now, in one chilling volume, here are the first three classic novels of The Vampire Chronicles.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE
Witness the confessions of a vampire. A novel of mesmerizing beauty and astonishing force, it is a story of danger and flight, love and loss, suspense and resolution, and the extraordinary power of the senses.

“A magnificent, compulsively readable thriller . . . Anne Rice begins where Bram Stoker and the Hollywood versions leave off and penetrates directly to the true fascination of the myth–the education of the vampire.”
Chicago Tribune

THE VAMPIRE LESTAT
Once an aristocrat from pre-revolutionary France, now a rock star in the decadent 1980s, Lestat rushes through the centuries seeking to fathom the mystery of his existence. His is a mesmerizing story–passionate and thrilling.

“Frightening, sensual . . . A psychological, mythological sojourn . . . Anne Rice will live on through the ages of literature. . . . To read her is to become giddy as if spinning through the mind of time.”
–San Francisco Chronicle

QUEEN OF THE DAMNED
Akasha, the queen of the damned, has risen from a six-thousand-year sleep to let loose the powers of the night. She has a marvelously devious plan to “save” mankind–in this vivid novel of the erotic, electrifying world of the undead.

“With The Queen of the Damned, Anne Rice has created universes within universes, traveling back in time as far as ancient, pre-pyramidic Egypt and journeying from the frozen mountain peaks of Nepal to the crowded, sweating streets of southern Florida.”
Los Angeles Times

For more than three decades The Vampire Chronicles, and through them Anne Rice, have been a treasured, rich part of my life. I find myself enveloped in the history and almost velvety feel of the tales. You can feel the mosquitoes and thick humid air of New Orleans. She weaves incredible stories throughout history and the contrast and comparison of living in different times, looking at our present time with the weary eyes who have seen so much already. The perspective of now in comparison to all the other past lives never fails to enchant me. She is a wonderful author. I love to revisit the world she has woven, again and again.

All I can say is, "Ann Rice, I don't know how YOU came up with The Vampire Chronicles, or EVEN thought up Magnus, Lestate, or even "Memnoch, The Devil" but "ANY" and "EVERY" TIME that I pick ANY of those books up, i can NOT for the LIFE of ME put it down until I ABSOLUTLY CAN NOT KEEP MY EYES OPEN. An I will tell "EVERYONE" that I can guarantee YOU that if you're intrigued, or even curious about the supernatural, or VAMPIRES I promise you will NOT be disappointed in the least. THANK YOU Ann Rice."

I have owned these books since their original release dates, yet I have never been happier to buy them again. Anne Rice writes so eloquently. Each character owning their rich background and history to a point where you begin to question if vampires, at least THESE vampires might actually be real! If they were I know I would have searched the world to have met Mekare and Maharet, Armand, Gabrielle, Pandora, Louis, and of course Lestat. If I couldn't locate them, I would have joined a secret organization belonging to intellectuals that seek out the supernatural. (Know any?) Lol.
