Ratings and reviews

I enjoyed seeing the author write a more contemporary romantic comedy but this one fell a little flat for me (And I love Anna Zaires' books!). While I mostly enjoyed the first book, this one felt super cliched. And the heroine's internal struggle was resolved unrealistically to the point that it was more of an annoyance. I also am not a fan of her supposed best friend who does nothing but criticize and belittle. It made me feel sorry for the heroine, even though she wasn't my favorite character.

I enjoyed this conclusion to Wall Street Titan. I'm curious about Kendall and Ashton though. They are good friends to Emma and Marcus, but seem to hate each other. I feel there's a story there which I would love to read about.

I honestly wanted to sit down and devour this second part of Emma and Marcus' story, but my life had other plans. It didn't detract from the enjoyment I had while reading this book, and seeing how opposite sometime attract in the best ways! I loved the dual POV, and the glimpses into both of their thoughts and the why's of what makes each of them unique. I won't say that Emma and Marcus are my new favorite Anna Zaires couple, but they are quite high in the list!
