About this audiobook

When parenting authorities Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish sat down to write the national bestseller How to Talk so Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk, they found that the could not contain their chapter on sibling rivalry. No matter how much they tried to pare down their advice, they found the subject inexhaustible—and parents agreed!

Siblings Without Rivalry guides the way to family peace and tranquility with humor and compassion for both parents and children. Action-oriented and easy to understand, it's packed with sensitive yet sensible ways to turn quarreling siblings and frustrated parents into an open, communicative family.

chapter 3, 4, & 5 seem contradictory. IE don't compare your kids, but hype up their individual qualities, but also don't put them into predefined roles based on your perception of them. The entire book comes off as a rant with more input from the author's customer's stories than from the author themselves. It also implies a lack of formal professional education in the way the author seems to be blown away and awestruck from their customer interactions. All in all, if you remove all the nonsense you can probably get about 1 chapter of helpful information from the entire book, and it is good information to have so I can warrant 3 stars.
