waste of time and money. waste of time and money. Ignore the whiny complaints of the reviewer under the name "Fortunate Son" .ignore his review because he is reviewing the author's political beliefs, and NOT THE BOOK. that said, the blurb describing the book makes it appear as if it were (loosely, at least) based on a real diary from a disaster victim. maybe it's my fault for wanting to believe that maybe some of the book was based on actual written (subjective, admittedly)evidence, like the description indicates. my only interest in the book was based on that belief\hope now that I find out (sort of)conclusively from Wikipedia that it's 100% fiction, based on max Brooks' farts, I'm an unhappy buyer. the book is garbage, totally sophomoric, and amazingly amateur. I can't believe this book was written, or accepted for publishing. it's like the worst b horror movie where all the characters do the dumbest things over and over. waste of time and money.

Impressed by the descriptions of the Sasquatchs appearances, tactics and abilities. Enjoyed the fact that these descriptions were so 'organic', meaning that all the info came from or was augmented by: Real science on primates. As well as legends from American history. And lastly, with writings pertaining to Sasquatch drawn from Teddy Roosevelt diaries and anecdotal quotes from famous authors. However...What I absolutely hated was the constant 'Progressive Throat Clearing' that was made over and over again. It got to a point where (to me) the fate of the characters was going to be hopelessly doomed. And not by any volcano, Sasquatch, disease or starvation threat, but by a far more awful and deadly fate by Political death by Political Incorrectness. As for the ebook format; I found the readers voice to be cringeworthy. The voice sounded whiney, constipated, and aloof. Add to that the annoying up tone inflection. "WE WERE LIIIIKE WALKIIING AND LIIIKE TRYYYYYING TO MOOOOOVE OUTSIIIIIDE"

Couldn't stop listening! Masterfully written. Another fabulous story by Max Brooks. The story is well written with enough elements of reality that it makes the reader question, "could this really happen?" Absolutely loved it! Highly recommended for everyone!
