About this audiobook

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she
knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.
At least, he’s not a beast all the time.
As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she’s been told
about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

It's a decent book. Kept me engaged for sure. I will say a tad predictable especially with the theme that is really already another fairy tale but I still listened the whole time. I know that it would have a larger budget but I'd really love to see audiobooks have both male and female voice actors for the different characters. It's a bit illusion breaking for a woman to just drop her voice. Not really against this audiobook it's just something I've noticed quite often.

Plot OK, protagonist WAYYYY to young, not really smutty. Doesn't live up to the hype it gets tbh. An easy to read - or to listen to - but that's that. Not a book I'd pick up a second time.

I have read the series multiple times, but this is my first time with the audiobook. The series is great and this book is the foundation. I personally do not like the narrator that much. If you’re on the fence about this book, get through book 2. If you still don’t like it, it’s probably not the series for you.
