About this audiobook

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Cal Kestis leads the Stinger Mantis crew on an adventure set between Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the highly anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Cal Kestis has built a new life for himself with the crew of the Stinger Mantis. Together, Cal’s crew has brought down bounty hunters, defeated Inquisitors, and even evaded Darth Vader himself. More important, Merrin, Cere, Greez, and faithful droid BD-1 are the closest thing Cal has had to a family since the fall of the Jedi Order. Even as the galaxy’s future grows more uncertain by the day, with each blow struck against the Empire the Mantis crew grows more daring.

On what should be a routine mission, they meet a stormtrooper determined to chart her own course with the help of Cal and the crew. In exchange for help starting a new life, the Imperial deserter brings word of a powerful, potentially invaluable tool for their fight against the Empire. And even better, she can help them get to it. The only catch—pursuing it will bring them into the path of one of the Empire’s most dangerous servants, the Inquisitor known as the Fifth Brother.

Can the Imperial deserter truly be trusted? And while Cal and his friends have survived run-ins with the Inquisitors before, how many times can they evade the Empire before their luck runs out?

as always the sound design is incredible. the star wars books always sound beautiful and this one is no exception. A fun little book that got a little spicy for Star Wars in my opinion. liked getting a look into each characters perspective throughout the story and building on what we knew in the game. all the elements from Jedi Fallen Order are present and expanded upon nicely. I already can't wait to play Survivor when it comes out and this just boosted my hype levels!

Honestly the romance in this is just awkward, I'm not like offended by it but it made me take several breaks from the book. I wanted to know more about the actual story and its all tongues and fingers and fire passion and like idk I don't read stuff like that so this was very new for me. Also the narrator for the audio book wasn't helping at all. I was really hoping for more light sabers and exploration and you know video game type stuff but it's whatever. The story wasn't bad and the sound effects made it star wars so atleast there was still that.

Put a chick in it and make her gay and lame. Well, that covers half of the book. Glad they didn't put anything interesting or fun in this book. I mean, it would have been horrible to have had to listen to a story about Jedi and adventure. Glad they just filled it with garbage and nonsense. Actually, this feels like how they made the 2nd Mario game, taking a completely different game and just changing a few pixels to make it look like Mario chars. This is NOT a Star Wars book, AT ALL.
