book 2 in this series...one of the best sci fi fantasy/dystopian novels I've read. Full of tragedy but tempered with moments of triumph and joy. Social classes relocated to colors where humans are reduced to being only one aspect of thehuman range of Talents,emotions,abilities,desires...from the slave class of Reds to the god-like class of Golds. Reds and low colors rebel with Arries at their lead to break the chains!

Many sequels start to feel poorly constructed in reference to the original material as if the author is reaching aimlessly and without care for the original exposition. This sequel fits with Red Rising seamlessly and may even be better.

Good narration, better narrative.

Pierce Brown worked as a manager of social media at a startup tech company, on the Disney lot at ABC Studios, as an NBC page, and as an aide on a U.S. Senate campaign. He is the author of the Red Rising Trilogy. Morning Star, Book 3 of the Red Rising Trilogy, made the New York Times ebook bestseller list in 2016.
