Great job of telling a very detailed life story. Enjoyable anecdotes about Star Trek:TNG. The final season of Picard earlier this year was some of the best Star Trek ever filmed, coming after some of the worst (Picard S1 and S2), so the author is riding the crest of a wave right now. He speaks with modesty about his fraught journey to land the role of the Captain in Gene Roddenberry's 1980s St sequel series, and it's clear that the august, deeply human character who became legendary in short order means a lot to the man who gave him life and took the Star Trek franchise to new levels of high quality. Some of the stories P.S. tells are interesting just because they are shockingly prosaic, considering the respect the world feels for the actor. Sincere and lively narration, absolutely fitting after Jean-Luc's series ended with a bang (don't miss season 3!). This man might be the world's best living actor. And this is a fine voyage to take alongside him. Audible really censoring reviews...

Listening to Sir Patrick tell his story, as a TNG and X-Men fan who knew little about his theatre life, gives a whole new appreciation and understanding for the man. The years of his hard work and dedication, and reflection on his life choices and where he ended up because of them, in his own words and voice was a pleasure to listen to, and I for one appreciate how sharing of them.

A must for any Star Trek fan. Enjoyed reading about the life and history of one of our best captains in the franchise. The stories surrounding Star Trek were of course the best part. some of them even made me tear up a bit.
