Ladies, this is for you: don’t waste your money on this. James Smith masquerades as someone dedicated to helping women.. but not without putting you down at every turn. This guy is whiny and judgmental. He (not a doctor) believes that you can judge health just by looking at someone’s size or weight. While he is correct that most diets are harmful, he himself still upholds outdated views on what constitutes health. Ladies, you are beautiful and best of luck on your journey whether that is self-love, fitness, or weight loss...but don’t start with James Smith.

Utter trash! From start to finish this book is a constant stream of moaning, an unlimited chain of negativity and relentless bashing of the fitness industry. The author complains about clueless "Blue tick" instagram personal trainers only to find, he himself is a "Blue tick" instagram personal trainer. The level of hypocrisy is astounding. I've recently committed to making some changes to lead a more healthy and active lifestyle, I look for books and articles which will give knowledge and also inspiration, neither of which I found in this book. Save your time and money and look for more inspiring, positive books to motivate you on your journey.

Read, absorb , enjoy. very informative and genuinely inspired me to get off my fat arse and diet properly. good balanced arguments for all the dieting types from 5.2 to low carb. should also help you keep your money in your pocket as supplements are also discussed and many dismissed too. 3.5 kgs lost while reading this book and really kicked started a love for training again. thanks James!
