I had watched the series before even hearing about the books. Ron Perlman really brings the series to life. My only gripe is a different pronunciation of the protagonist's name than I was used to but it was consistent and didn't lessen my enjoyment of this great book.

Decent story, choppy writing. But freaking Ron Perlman!! He made the best of the "he said, she said" style writing.

Really great book I read some of these when I was in prison. I hope I get to the end this time

Guillermo del Toro is an Academy Award®–winning film director as well as a screenwriter, producer, and New York Times bestselling novelist. He is best known for his foreign fantasy films, especially Pan’s Labyrinth, and American mainstream movies like The Shape of Water.
