I have never read a book by Blake Pierce before but I do read like to read mysteries and thrillers. I'm having a hard time writing this review. I liked this book but then again at times it totally lost my interest and that is why it took me a month to finish. It's a book that I feel you should give a try and make up your own mind. Giving 3 stars because it is worth looking into you are not wasting your time.

The narrater could have done without the accents or at least studied the accents before trying them. The story is compelling and well written. Adele over reaches in her efforts to capture her killer, and this is why we end up with a climatic ending that bordered on Adele's own stupidity. The characters in this story are all written and each has their own quirky nature. This makes each character in the story more compelling as they work towards catching this serial killer.

This was an enjoyable murder mystery / thriller [audiobook] - well paced, and nicely narrated by Abigail Reno [apart from the exaggerated European accents 😑]. It made for really good listening while I got about my day, I was even a tad reluctant to pause listening at bedtime. It’s a part of a series of Adele Sharp mystery books, but a complete story by itself. This was my first book by Blake Pierce, so I cannot necessarily compare it to the author’s past work, but I know I look forward to reading / listening to more from this author.
