It was a fantastic book! A lot of times I have wondered about all of the roman entanglements with Jerusalem and why there was so much of both in the bible. This book give a very good breakdown of the history that setup the environment for the people who murdered Christ. The book is a history. Do not expect a spiritual experience with this book. It really humanized Christ. It does not go into elaborate detail of his miracles and acts of goodness. Like all of the killing series books, Dugard and O'Reilly do not spare the gory details. They give it to us in high definition. I plan to listen to this book again in three or four years but feel I need to read the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint book "Jesus the Christ" next. I have read parts of it but have not been able to finish it. I know that Jesus is the Christ and he died for our sins. We all have need to repent and come closer to him.
