About this audiobook

Geralt the Witcher—revered and hated—holds the line against the monsters plaguing humanity in this collection of adventures, the first chapter in Andrzej Sapkowski’s groundbreaking epic fantasy series that inspired the hit Netflix show and the blockbuster video games.

Geralt is a Witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless hunter. Yet he is no ordinary killer. His sole purpose: to destroy the monsters that plague the world.

But not everything monstrous-looking is evil and not everything fair is good . . . and in every fairy tale there is a grain of truth.

Author is a SJW sellout of his own people. Witches and most of his books are based completely on existing Polish Folklore! Games are way better and more true to the Polish people and their lore! The games made the books famous not the other way around, it's so obvious if you do the slightest research. So already a lot of lies in the books description, probably from the game and Polish people hating author!

Geralt's accent is unnecessary and a little odd considering we are so used to his voice from the game and even the show. But maybe that's unfair. Otherwise the performance is great and I'm actually quite a fan of the narrator from other audiobooks (he also narrates Ian M Banks "The Culture " which I love )

great audio book, perfect for picking up and dropping when needed due to the "short stories" format. as a fan of the witcher videogames, it was nice to immersed in the work that started it all. look forward to reading the rest of this series.
