From the moment I installed the smart outlet it's been nothing but problems. The outlet keeps shutting off and losing connection to the WiFi. Spoke to tech support and they say they are aware of the issue and hope to push a fix to all units soon. šŸ˜­šŸ˜­šŸ˜± We will see..... So here is an update. The new software was pushed out and the outlet actually stayed on for few days....that was a first. But today once again the unit is off and I had to turn it back on. Same as before. What's the pointšŸ¤¬šŸ˜”šŸ¤¬

The software update is out and these outlets should be downloading it over the next little while. It's frustrating, I know! But it's a very cool product and I think it'll be great for you. Leave it plugged in and online for a little while and it should get the update soon. Thanks! -JG

This was fine for almost a year, then they ran an update that purged all devices from my account. I've only been able to reconnect one of them. Shame. Update: I did eventually get everything setup again. The downside is that the same issue happened again, another update and all setup data is gone. Everything needs to be setup again and synced, which means hours of work. Terrible app, terrible product. Never purchasing anything related to hubspace again

Hi Dan, We haven't had any updates that would do this. I wonder maybe if your devices are under another email address, or a second "home" in the app? We'd like to hunt down your issue and fix it for you. Please give us a ring at (M-F 8a-7p, Sa 6a-6p) and let us look into it. Thanks! -JG

The android version of this app has difficulty finding local wifi networks. I thought I was doing something wrong initially when setting up, but in a last ditch effort to get my devices to work I pulled out my old iphone to see if I could connect things that way. I was able to get things set up on the iPhone app fine, and then control things from my android phone once connected to the wifi. It's definitely just this app and not my phone because other apps find the wifi without issue.

Hi! Some first-generation Hubspace products have some difficulty connecting to some Android phones. Once you get them online they'll download a software update to fix the problem, but we know it can be frustrating because getting the product online *is* the bug. Newer Hubspace products (the ones in the orange boxes) won't do this. Thank you! -JG
