Here’s how it works:
- Download the Merryfield app for free, then create an account.
- Next, browse offers from our better-for-you brands. There are a few offer types: Everyday Rewards, which earn you points anytime you purchase brands you see on our app; Special Offers, which reward you extra points once you activate the offer and purchase the offer-specific products; and Bundles, specific pairings of products that earn you extra points.
- After that, shop the better-for-you brands on our app. If you shop in-store, grab your receipt then take a photo of it within 7 days, showing your better-for-you purchases, to earn points instantly. (No matter what you purchase, you’ll get points on any paper receipt submitted!) If you shop digitally, connect your retailer accounts in the Receipt Tab in the app to earn automatically.
- Once you hit 10,000 points, redeem them right in the app for a $10 gift card to dozens of retailers.

Cool idea, helpful to save couple of bucks. My only concern is that quite often it won't find things in your receipt, and I don't remember all brands that I should look for, so I only look for the ones I remember, and sometimes bunch of the groceries stay with no points, which later I find out could have some. CHANGED FROM 3* TO 4 stars for good customer service, very helpful every time I message them.

Editing my initial review: we eat a clean, healthy, organic diet, so I love this app becuase I get a gift card about every 3 shopping trips since MANY of the products we buy are high rewards. So thank you for that. However, recently my online retailer accounts keep disconnecting. I've had to reconnect my Amazon account atleast 6 times the past 3 days, and it's disconnected once again. My target and walmart disconnected and won't connect again suddenly. Nothing changed to make them disconnect.

It's fine as an additional receipt scanner app, but terrible if it's your only one. The points for each receipt are too low, the reward thresholds are too high, the scanning limits are too low, and the acceptance rates are too low for this to be anything except yet another way to squeeze some extra money out of your receipts. In the time I've had this, I've scanned almost every receipt I've scanned in other apps, and I've earned at least $5 in most, while I'm 15% to my first reward here.

What's new

Spring is all about growth and here at Merryfield, we got the memo! First, we’ve added two brands on the app to reward you: Fly By Jing (superb Sichuan sauces) and CLEAN Cause (organic yerba mate drinks). We’ve also extended the timeline for digital receipts (so you’ll earn points on purchases within 14 days rather than 7!), updated screens with your milestone info, and made some key fixes behind the scenes so it’s easier than ever to shop, earn and nab free gift cards.
