DK Visual Dictionary App contains all the audio to accompany DK's Bilingual Visual Dictionaries.

This DK Visual Dictionary app is the perfect companion to your visual dictionary. For each language, over 7,000 words and phrases are spoken in both English and the language of the title. All words are from the books and are spoken by native speakers. Simply download the free app, then use your copy of the book to fully access all the audio.

This clear, comprehensive and easy-to-use app contains all the content from each Bilingual Visual Dictionary. Just like the book, the vocabulary is arranged thematically, with subjects including shopping, food and drink, study, work, travel and transport, health and appearance, sport and leisure, technology, and the home. Search for the page you want, tap on any word to listen to it being spoken, scroll up and down the word lists for each topic, and swipe left or right to go to the next or previous page.

I love learningy languages and I love the DK Visual Dictionary series as a vocabulary resource. I've got about 6 of them. So, getting this app was a no brainer. And I *loved* it. Untill one day I opened it and it insisted that all of my dictionaries we're no longer iny library. Oh, the downloads were still on my phone but the program didn't recognize them. I tried reinstalling the app. No change. I rescanned each dictionary. It still insists that there are no files on my device.

Cannot download the audio files on my Android 11 phone. It works well on Android 8 phone or iPad. Perhaps there are some low-level compatibility issues. If you are also frustrated, you can try my solution: install the app on an Android device with lower version; then download the audio files and make an app+data backup (only data backup may work as well) ; finally copy & restore from the backup on your latest device.

Great. I have the Arabic-English version of this dictionary, and the app exceeds expectations. I wasn't initially aware there was even an app for this. Scanning barcode was a bit buggy , I had to track down the correct barcode then enter manually because it was not reading the code from my book, but otherwise very functional app and does exactly what i need it to do - keep track of words, by way of favorites/starring them, as I learn them in the physical book. Audio downloaded and works well.
